While many companies are recognise there AS/NZS3760 obligations which requires them to periodically ensure that you tag their one phase and polyphase electric equipment in the work environment, this new standard shows the requirements for the post-sale safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment, that can be restored, or undergone service maintenance which could have afflicted its electrical safety.
This kind of standard covers the tests and inspection process pursuing the repair of power appliances so that when the appliance re-enters service, protection against hazards such as electrical shock, mechanised injury, or electrical open fire is ensured as significantly as possible.
All testing are conducted according to AS/NZ 3760: 2005 – In-service safety inspection and screening of electrical equipment with extra requirements on the test tags.
AS/NZS5762: june 2006 specifies that both up to date and non-compliant equipment will be fitted with a draw or other indicator. Therefore equipment that requires helpful action will probably be labelled to indicate that it requires repair and compliant equipment that has undergone the mandatory repair shall be branded with a compliant equipment tag.
